Need fonts for browser display language compatibility?

This is a snip from a page which contains Arabic text. I have several Arabic fonts installed, but it still comes up like this (screenshot) in IE, and just displays nothing at all in Chimera.

The roman script below the bad characters is the standard romanized transliteration, which I couldn't care less about :p

This is in OS 10.1.5; is this resolved in Jaguar with it's new-and-improved multi-lingual capabilities?

Any ideas?

You might try it in OmniWeb on 10.1.5, but I think it may be due to the new fonts and text features of Jag (right to left text comes to mind).

Hah! this is what it comes out as in 10.1.5 in OmniWeb (attached).

It prints every Arabic letter as a baa` in a frame. So it recognizes what it is, but can't display it.

Well Jag, where are you (mail is sloooooow).

Yep, that frame looks to me like the frame around the other unicode chars that get returned for missing ranges. So basically the system couldn't find the fonts for arabic, but OmniWeb tried atleast.

IE on jag won't try for some reason, though I can't figgure it out.
