1. Start the install built (from the OS X install disk) and stop right before it starts installing and look near the top of the window for a Finder like bar.
2. In that Finder bar look for the menu item Disk Utility and use that to format that drive for OS X to install on it.
3. Then proceed with the install.
Like I said earlier, the machine won't boot the OS X disc or any, no options are displayed in the screen, just blank.
Are their any keys I can hold down on start up? I've tried "C", Option, D
what can I do?
Found the problem, I installed a new hard drive from another computer & the computer works.
I then installed the faulty HDD in the other computer and didn't work
