need program to read mac formatted drive on windows computer

Hi I dont know if i'm posting this in the right forum but anyway i need help. I have windows and mac laptops, i also have an external harddrive for my mac which is formatted in os journaled. Is there a program which i can download for my toshiba which will enable me to read the external drive. I understand that there is something similar for mac formatted ipods. Really appreciate any help I can get.

If you format the external drive in FAT32, you'll be able to read and write files to it with no additional software.
