Need to open Port 6000 in 10.5.8

It is my responsibility to get my Church's closing info on our local TV station. When I go to sign in, I can't because I need to go through Port 6000 to access the page. How do I open this port in Safari? I was able to to modify and open the port in Firefox.

Can't you just use http://www.mychurchtvstation.org:6000/?

If you're connecting to them on port 6000, then no port forwarding is necessary on your part (unless you have some wacky, off-the-wall firewall rule that prevents outgoing traffic on port 6000).

Opening ports only matters when outsiders want to make connections to your computer on a specific port. If you're required to connect to their computer on port 6000, then MisterMe's got the answer -- simply specify the port in the URL.
