I am having trouble accessing the root, on the pop up from security it says disable, but after logging out no root on the logging window.
Thought changing its password would makes any good, but no chance.

I have the now classic iMac G4.

Please a hand would me welcome.

Thanks.

Even if you enable root successfully, it won't show up as a user on the login window.

Instead, log in as your regular admin user, then open System Preferences. Navigate to "Accounts", and then click the "Login Options" button at the bottom. On the right-hand side of the window, click the radio button next to "Name and password" for the "Display Login Window as:" option.

Log out, type in "root" for the username and your password for the password.

But.. didn´t a "Other" account appear once?
Has it changed with late system updates?
