got another prob.

my network connection with my pc is realy slow.
how can i make it faster coz i did 12 hours to tranfser 40 gig maybe more hours!

We're going to need a lot more information from you in order to be of any help.

What kind of network connection are you using? Wireless? Wired? Are you using NFS? Samba? FTP? What version of Mac OS X are you running? What version of Windows (I assume) are you running? Did you connect to the PC from the Mac, or to the Mac from the PC?

Please be a lot more specific.
 
the one eMac is Panther and the other (pc) is windows xp.
i'm connected by wired lan using a hub. just by using the network option
 
By "network option," do you mean the "Network" icon in the Finder, or do you mean by selecting "Connect to Server..." from the "Go" menu?

Can you try using FTP? Start the FTP server on the eMac, then go to the Windows machine and connect by "ftp://(IP address of eMac)" and see if that helps. In my experience, FTP transfers between a Mac and a PC tend to work faster than SMB or NFS.
