Network Security using Powerline

Hello, Hope this is an easy one for you clever people. I've got terrible WIFI at home, even with a super fast wireless router. Consequently I have bought a TP LINK powerline adaptor kit, that works through the power wires in the house. It works perfectly but my question is how do I enable security on the adaptors to avoid others having access. I have searched their website, but it only seems to address windoze security.
Can anyone assist please ?

Don't you need a power line adapter to connect to your local network?
If you are not using wireless, how would someone else get access to your household power?

Hi. I am using wireless. The signal just doesn't reach to all parts of the house, so plugging in power line in other rooms gives me better coverage. The problem is the signal sent from the power line adapters is not secure, so I need to instigate a password.
