New iTunes Look; Steve Jobs, Cocoa

...that Quick Time Pro 6 plays large movies (640x480 and above) a lot faster! Movies converted from VCDs play super fast too! ;)

iTunes 3 rocks! Although it isn't encoding MP4 it plays MP4 songs just fine ;) OpenGL option lets even an iMac G3 400Mhz play those effects faster than ever! The looks of iTunes seems so MUCH polished that it actually SHINES now ;)

Oh man, I can't wait for Jaguar!!!

How do I configure the iTunes visuals to OpenGL? I can't find it anywhere.

Howdy,

Actually you can configure something. Start iTunes and run the eye candy in the window, then you can click on the little options button in the upper right part of the iTunes window for the visual options. Here you can turn using openGL on and off, as well as a couple of other things like displying the frame rate ;)

Does it matter? I think it effects my frame rate here but I could be wrong.
