New Powerbook G4 and OS9

I have not been able to repartition a New PowerBook G4 with a bootable OS 9 partition. I've used both the installed 'startup' app and one on the bootup OSX disk. Either way, the OS9 partition does not show up. The New powerbook uses 10.2.3 Is this a do-able on this notebook??

If you're talking about a new 12" powerbook, you're wasting your time, unless someone comes up with a software hack of some kind, this new powerbook CANNOT boot to OS9
 
It's been well publicized that Apple will no longer introduce new systems that will boot into the old MacOS 9. A lot of OS9 software will still work, as long as you don't need to boot into OS9. The only G4 PB that will still boot into OS9 is the 15" titanium. What software do you still need OS9 for? Is there an OSX version you can use? Time to move on to the more stable OSX :) (yeah, yeah, I know!)
