New to forums & need some help

Hey everyone,
I have been having a lil problem w/ my imac.I tried to upgrade to safari 3.1, thn realized my system didnt reach its requirements.Now , when I try to click on software updates, safari, as well as mac help............ nothing happens.i am running mac os x 10.3.9.

Gotta ask ... have you tried a reboot?

I take it you were informed by the Safari 3 installer that your system didn't meet requirements and were shown the abort button? Do you have another User Acct on your Mac you can test?

There was no abort button. It seemed to install totally fine, but after installation i started having problems. The first i noticed was that i couldnt open safari. i am actually using explorer right now.

I'd uninstall Safari (drag to the trash) then reinstall you systems version, that should fix it:

You should reinstall your 10.3.9 combined updater. That may help clean up your system, and get you working properly again.

Things are baclk to normal. As you probably realized ..... i'm not too swift when it comes to fixN problems.i appreciate it
