No Auto Sleep?

My iMac 15" LCD (Dome) with 768MB, 60MB HD OSX 10.4.6 seems to have lost it's ability to go to sleep automatically. I have reset the settings in the control panel to defaults and then set my settings but it still doesn't sleep on the set time. I can put it to sleep manually and all is fine, it just won't go to sleep automatically?

Maybe the respective prefs-file's corrupted. Hm. Sadly I dunno which one that would be...

I believe Energy Saver preferences are stored in NVRAM -- they'd have to be, since NVRAM is what starts up and shuts down the computer when the respective startup and shutdown schedule is enabled in the Energy Saver preference pane.

Perhaps resetting the PRAM, then resetting the Energy Saver preferences (actually change them to something else, then change them back to your preferred settings just to make sure they're written to the NVRAM) would help.
