I don't think that Microsoft has Office 2008 for download since Office 2011 was released?
Or - do you mean that you can't download an _update_ for Office 2008? Those are all available through Microsoft downloads.
Or - maybe you could try using a few more words, explaining why you think you are unable to download Office.

I have my own Microsoft office 2008 at home and tried to download it to my mac and was unsuccessful. I had to delete everything on my mac and start over back in Dec. I was just trying to place Office back on the mac. Are you telling me that once Office 2011 was released I have to upgrade now? I keep receiving "error -- failed installation"

Ah, OK - so you tried to _install_ Office, and that install fails with an error "Failed installation"?
