Hello Mac Users,
It has been a while since i posted - can you believe my old harddrive died.. it's the 2nd time in 3 years i've had my Macbook die on me.. i was actually having thoughts of purchasing a PC.. Anyway, i've had OSX Leopard installed on a new hard drive and things are now running smoothly apart from this one thing:

When i boot my machine, i am always asked if i want to open a recently downloaded file. For example, "Do you wish to open xyz.dmg".. I have cleared my downloads folder and yet i am still being asked this question. Does anyone have any ideas why this occurs??

Thanks for you help!!

Yes, there are two files in there.. two 'helper' files.. should they be there?? Thankyou for your help.. By deleting these, i believe my problem will be solved..

More than likely, yes, they should be there. One is probably "iTunesHelper" or some similarly-named startup item.

I'm meaning to ask, specifically, if, in the "Login Items" list, the DMG that is trying to open at login is listed... is it?
