Only Gmail Works.....Nothing else

Hello,
I have two MacBooks and one is having issues loading sites on the internet. I know it's not the internet connection, because it works fine on this Mac. Also, on the problem Mac, I can load and run Gmail just fine. For some reason, my Chase Online also works fine. However, every other site I try to load will not load. I've tried on Safari and Firefox and it's the same story on both. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried rebooting, configuring network settings to match my other Mac, resetting modem & router, and I've looked all over and haven't been able to find a solution. Please help!

On the affected Mac try this:

1. Go to System Preferences>Network.

2. In the Network pane look at the top of that pane for the 'Location' drop-down. Use that location drop-down to 'Edit Locations'. Use the + button to create a new custom named location (calling it whatever you want, just keep to one word).

3. Once a new custom Location is made rejoin your network and if every thing works click the 'apply' button to save this new custom Location. Don't worry because it will act the same as the 'Automatic' location.

Thanks so much for the recommendation. Unfortunately, I took the steps you recommended and it's still not working. Just gmail and chaseonline. Any other suggestions?

Is you Mac getting any DNS IPs from the ISP? Check in System Preferences->Network, advanced button, DNS tab. Maybe that Mac is getting the DNS server entries, that would explain a lot.

Go back to the TCP/IP tab, and make sure the Configure IPv4 is showing Using DHCP. If it is not, change it with the drop down, click OK, then click the Apply button.

Does the Status show you that it's connected, and has an IP address?
What is that IP address?
Click on the Advanced button again, then click the DNS tab.
Are there DNS servers listed? or, is that still blank?
If you get DNS numbers now - try your internet.
