Try ejecting any external drives and give it another try.

Try to reset your Finder be putting this attached code in your Terminal and wait for it to give you another Finder prompt. This will reset your Finder without restarting.

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
