Hey me again, damn downloaded the huge file for update "OS X 1.1.5"
and i get up to the .pkg file to install, and a message appears "installer update needed to install update"

Very puzzled on what i could do to get this working??

it would be most appriciated that maybe someone could help me out on this unfortunate situation.

cheers, thanx heaps!

heres my *specifications* if this helps:

OS X 1.1
power mac, g3
iMAC
128mg RAM

I agree with Dagaz.

You have missed something along the way. My base install disk is 10.1.2. It used to be real hassle doing individual updates utnil the combo install came along.

when you do your upgrades use the software update in system preferences. You can miss out the imovie and alike if you don't use them but they put the security and system updates there for a reason.

One of these days i will upgrade to 10.3, and no doubt spend time doing the same thing. Installing updates.

Good luck

hey again, i put the update in and the mesage still apprears..the correct message in full "Installer update is required for this update"

still got the same prob, help me, anyone..plz

If you're stuck on 10.1, then it looks like the link you used is for the wrong security update(there are two different ones), the link you downloaded is of you ALREADY have at least 10.1.1, THIS LINK is almost the same file, but WILL work to get your combo update to work, when you still have 10.1.
That is absolutely the correct file,(check HERE for verification, and that should get you going again.
