I upgraded to 10.5 and seems like it knocked out my sound. In preferences for Built-in Audio (ispk) says "The selected device has no output controls).

Was this due to the install? I can't find ANY info anywhere on the web about this particular problem with this upgrade.

Thanks,
¡A!

Go to the folder /Applications/Utilities/ and launch Audio Midi Setup. In there make sure audi Input & audio Output are set to 44100.0Hz.

I know this may sound a bit like 'voodoo' but I've seen countless reports of people who fix problems like this by launching GarageBand .... first port of call would be the Audio Midi Setup as per above advice ...

The exact same thing happened to me.
