Os X - Cursor Wheel Spinning ...........

When trying to set up a dial-up email account, I configured the data wrong, in that I can receive mail, but not send. When I attempted to send, I got the everlasting cursor spinning color wheel (still going after a week). Even if I re-boot, it will not go away. What should I do? Start up with the OEM CD and delete the entire Earthlink folder or? Please advise, thanks.

Problem has been resolved by doing what I described above. Thanks.

Are you using Apple's Mail.app program? If so, you can simply edit the SMTP server in Mail's Preferences under "Accounts" to reflect the correct information.
