Q - When was the Macintosh introduced?


From what I can ascertain the Macintosh was introduced January 1984. Is this not correct?

There is a very interesting reason I ask this, which I will reveal in a little while…
I just wanted to make sure I was correct before wigging out.

1984 for the Macintosh, but Apple's were older, 1976.

The Smithsonian would have contracted that plaque out to some company to make. But you would think they would make sure the company got the info right, or that the info they gave the company was right.
