My g3 10.4.11 mac won't run Photoshop Elements 6. Every time i start it up, if i try anything (using brush tool, opening a file, clicking a button, whatever), it crashes, claiming that it unexpectedly quit.

The system requirements for the program are as follows:

* PowerPC® G4 or G5 or multicore Intel® processor
* Mac OS X v10.4.8 through 10.5.2; Photoshop Elements 6 will NOT install on older operating systems.
* 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended) or more
* 1GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation)
* 1,024x768 display resolution or greater

my computer satisfies every requirement except that it's a g3. is this the ONLY reason the program won't run? is there anything i can do?

Has it ever run correctly on that machine? If so, have you tried reinstalling Photoshop Elements from the original install CD?

System Requirements are specific -- if it doesn't mention G3, that could be why it's not running. Have you contacted Adobe to find out if this is, in fact, the case?

the disc is brand new and this is the first time i've installed it... and the system requirements are specific. it seems i can't use it because my mac is a g3.
i'm going to delete this thread, then.
