Photoshop Elements 2 or 3?

I'm a beginner at photo editing and graphics so I thought I'd start off with Elements before I started using CS, I can get Elements 3 for about £50 or Elements 2 for about £10, is their much difference between the two and is 3 worth the extra £40?

Go ahead and buy the newer app. Since I don't run the older version any more, I can't tell you what differences between the two might be.

It might be worth hanging on for a bit as Elements 4 is due for release soon if it isn't out already.
