1st, i just have to post this one for kendall. this morning, before mwsf, he was joking around about the coming release of iMonkey. He had all sorts of silly things to say about it and a few people were even biting on the bait.

but wait, it turns out he was right!! I give you iMonkey as shown at mwsf -

actually imonkeys were part of the booth display for iMoKey. i told the guys in the booth about kendall's joking around and they thought it was hilarious. :D

next here's a shot of where i got to watch the end of the keynote - it was up on the screen where the game presentation is in the pic. i was standing about where the blonde with the black jacket is. i got there just as he was announcing the powerbooks.

here's the main gaming area - all machines with only os x games. one of these tables featured a full network competition of unreal tournament. that was pretty fun to watch because you could see 2-3 screens at once and watch them blast eash other.

well, i was saving this til later Macluv, but since you asked...:D

not actually going to the keynote, i missed the hooters girls. :( but i did get to meet a couple of the guys who worked on safari. here i am with Don Melton who used ot work as a team manager at netscape. he said something about burning in hell for working at netscape and how proud he is of how fast safari was built from the ground up. the guy in the black behind me was also on the team. pretty interesting conversations but i've told most of it in other threads already. :D

hee hee. i just couldn't help sharing the t-shirts the apple employees who were demonstrating the new releases were wearing.

the life size poster for the powerbooks that was at the top of the escalotors heading down to the exhibition floor. yao ming really is a giant and the little guy is even littler than he looks in the commercial. i can see these in every applestore soon.

now for a few of the exhibitors beside apple. first is micromat - who was preselling os x version of techtool pro. from the sounds of it, it will be great - you can check all your drives at once.

next is adobe, who seemed to have the next largest display area to apple. but perhaps it just seemed like that since they always had about 3-4 presentations going on at once and all right next to each other. you could hardly hear yourself think around their booth. and on top of that - no demo cd's.

here's a photoshop tutorial presentation

and by far the longest line at mwsf - intrega. they were having a spinning wheel prize giveaway - with prizes including $1000.00 and a new humvee. people were eating this stuff up.

uh, that's all i got this year that's worth looking at. :D

i hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of the show if you couldn't make it yourself. :)

Ed that's incredible. in AE Paris the games area was never that empty. not even when the AE was closed. :D
