Pioneer DVR-110/111 G5 Upgrade

Hi All,
I want to replace the stock Pioneer DVR-106PB Superdrive in my G5 tower dual 1.8 (Panther 10.3.9) with a DVR-110DBK or DVR-111DBK but the hardware profile claims disc burning not supported with either drive. Same thing for iTunes and iDVD, not supported. Both drives have the latest firmware as of 8-15-06. However, both these drives work fine on my G4 tower, 10.4.7, dual 1.42. Any thoughts? 10.3.9 does not have native burn support for those drives. 10.4.7 does, though, explaining why it works on one machine and not the other.

I will fix the cause, (10.3.9), rather than the effect, (Patchburn).

10.4.7 is the fix I need.
