Mac Convert for Life
I have two browsers that I use as my main browsers (Firefox and Safari). I also have Camino, which I used to use a lot but haven't lately. Tonight, I decided to use Camino (just for variety) and now it's not working. Never had any problems with Camino before. It's been a few weeks since I've used it.
Here's what happens: Every time I launch Camino, my start page pops up, but in front of that are two windows. One is alerting me that I'm going to an unencrypted page and do I want to continue? The other alert box is asking me if I want to set Camino as my default browser. When I try clicking "OK" or "No" on either of these alerts, it doesn't do anything. When I try to quit Camino, it doesn't do anything. When I go to the Camino drop-down menu in my menu bar, the Quit option is faded out. The only way for me to quit is to force quit, which I've done four times now.
I've repaired permissions via Disk Utility and ran OnyX and restarted my computer. The same problem persists. I even trashed the Camino preference list (.plist) and tried relaunching the application again. Same problem.
When I launch Camino, here's what my Console log reads:
Mac OS X Version 10.3.9 (Build 7W98)
2006-02-17 20:31:11 -0500
2006-02-17 20:32:10.932 Camino[354] Unable to set languages - language 'English' not a valid ISO language identifier
If anyone has any idea what's going on and/or how to correct this problem, I would really appreciate it.
