Power Book G3 (Pismo) and Tiger Installation

Hello-

I have a PB G3 with Firewire. Currently I am running OS 10.2.8. I am trying to install Tiger on this machine, and it tells me that I cannot load Tiger.

I tried the Hardware instalation test and it says that Tiger is NOT Compatible wit this computer.

From the tech specs it says that PB G3 with 256 Ram is compatible with Tiger.
Any ideas whats going on?

Excuse my stupidity, but... if you look under the Apple menu at "About this Mac..." do you HAVE 256 MB of RAM? If, for some reason, you think you should have that much, maybe you should check to see if the RAM is seated properly?
