POWER BOOK G4, 12" Freezing when boot up

When I turn power on and it makes a chime noise then starts spinning. I wait a minute and then screen blanks white with grey dash lines across the center of the screen horizontally.

Can you help me?

Try the steps in the Apple article Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck to see if any of those help. Good Luck.
