Everytime I try to boot any supported OS (7.5.5- 9.1) it locks up on loading the INITs when the apple ethernet cs2 or Apple Enet and open transport are present. I have tried taking certain inits out (ie the 68k OT inits and it loads but of course OT does not load) and I have tried every other ethernet driver supplied with the MacOS and it won't pull up the connect via ethernet option under TCP/IP cdev. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have even used the Apple System Recovery CD 1 which of course installs OT and the Apple Ethernet CS2.

Regards,
Drew

It could be that the Mac TCP/DNR file is corrupt. Go to System Folder and locate it, trash it, restart the computer and see if that helps.

I have seen this problem before on those series of PowerMacs. Problem caused by a failed Ethernet port. Have you tried replacing the ethernet card?
