Under my slot loading Superdrive on my 1 ghz powerbook, the opaque part is seperating from the titanium part. Is there anyway to fix this. I heard you opened up the computer and screwed in some bolts, but i don't know how. Apple is going to charge me $680 FUCKING DOLLAR to fix this! So if anyone knows ho wto fix it please help me

I hear you yelling from here :(
the $680 should be a target figure, you may be able to talk them out of the charge, especially if you're less than a year old, and if it's obviously not a self-inflicted wound (is it?)
Find a good computer repair center local to you, just show your powerbook to them (doesn't have to be an Apple service, unless you're really concerned about warranty) You may be lucky and find a competent tech, with some experience with other laptops, who should be able to evaluate what repairs are needed. If it's just a couple of loose screws, then a little fiddling around should do it, for a charge, but far less than $680... You may also hear that the case is broken, and recommending that Apple fix it :( (Apple would guarantee the final result, for sure) Anywhere else, you do take your chances, but a simple mechanical fix might be the result.

yep, i am planning on taking it to the guy who i bought it from. He does repairs too. So i think he can handle it
