thanks so much for taking the time to help,

i have a Power PC g5 mac with this pci video card

NVIDIA GeForce 6600:
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Vendor: nVIDIA (0x10de)
its has 2 dvi outputs

so i put a vga to s video/rca to get my tv ( tv only has rca input) to work as a display for my comp,

but it does not pick up the tv when i plug everything in and detect displays, have checked a few times,

i learned that this cable (all like it too) need a video card that has tv output capability, but i cant figure out if my does or not

is there anyway this is possible without getting a new pci card

i dont really have the $ n kinda need the rest of my pci slots

any help would be greatly appreciated

take care

jeremy

If your video card only has 2 DVI outputs like you stated, then a VGA-to-RCA adaptor is going to do nothing for you, since your card does not have a VGA connector.

How, exactly, did you connect the VGA-to-RCA adaptor to your DVI port?

Ah... well, the only thing I can think of is that there's too many adaptors in-line in your setup, and that somewhere in the conversion process from splitter-to-converter or converter-to-converter that something's getting screwy.

Do you have a VGA monitor that you can test the DVI-to-VGA adaptor with? If that works, then the problem could be narrowed down to the VGA-to-RCA adaptor.
