Printer recommendations

I'm looking for a good photo printer, Have a Nikon D50, use photoshop. Does anyone have experience with Epson R 1800, or Canon Pro 9000? thanks, Hilllary
 
Don't do Epson. I hate that they make you download an entire utility and driver to make the printer work. Boo.

Love just about everything from Hp and Canon's are good, though I prefer HP.
 
Just the opposite...love Epson. What's wrong with downloading the most recent driver?

Just buy a printer that has separate cartridges for each color---far less wasted ink AND money that way.
 
Epson requires you to download a driver and a utility just to make the printer work. Most other printers only require the driver.

Ever tried to stop an Epson from printing while in midstream? Fugghetaboutit.
