Printing Mac to Vista USB

I have tried several times to get my macbook (white) to print to my wife's Vista box which has an HP 3050mfp connected via USB port with no luck. I installed the drivers and even addressed it via SMB with no luck. It says paused when I send a job to it. I shared it on the vista and can print to it from a 7 notebook, so I know it works on the network. Need some links or guidance here. Thanks in advance.
 
OK I read the link but am unsure of how to put in my password. Is this my login password to the vista machine? If so do I use a space next to my username ie: SMB//username pw@192.168.1.0/HP3050
I tried without a pw and it said access denied.
