Printing to XP

Cannot get to advanced to setup samba printing by pressing + _ alt
In printing preferences

Last night it would go there but not anymore

I can get to Windows printing

Witch is easiest Samba or Windows printing?

I just want to print to a shared XP printer
 
Need more information. Are you printing from a mac to a pc network with a print server? Or are you printing to a windows machine that has printer sharing on?

since I'm not having much success

I know windows inside out its the Mac I'm having trouble with
 
I would suggest setting up the mac as a windows print server and connect your xp computer to it, instead of the other way around which is how I assume you're doing it currently.

Also, your printer may not support print sharing in this manner and you might have to get a print server to make it work, but don't go out and buy one just yet...what kind of printer do you have?
 
Its a Samsung alll in one laser with fax
I found mac driver and installed it in the Mac

Just not sure of the steps to take in a Mac

+ _ alt does not me give advanced option for Samba
 
Don't use Samba. If you can, connect the printer to the mac and Add Printer in Print/Fax in the System Preferences. Turn on Print Sharing on the mac. Then, if you have an ethernet router, connect the pc to the mac and try to print.
