problem burning audio files from iTunes

Hi,

I recently downloaded Burnx Free to help solve cdr and cdrw burning problems that I was having. (I have an older ibook with a Toshiba dvd and cdrw drive, and I run OS 10.3.9).

I have been able to erase a cdrw, and new data (Word documents) to it, but when I tried dragging audio files from iTunes to the Burnx Free burning window, they wouldn't drag. So then I dragged the files to a folder on the desktop and then to Burnx, but the disc that resulted has audio files but won't play in any stereo.

I am wondering if there might be some problem with iTunes?

It sounds like you're simply burning the audio files to the CD in a data format. In order to make an audio CD that will play in a standard audio CD player, you must burn an "Audio CD", not a data CD.

iTunes can do this -- is there any reason you're not using iTunes to make audio CDs?
