it's brand new, has 2gb of ram on it and when i got it this morning, it's all problem. Frequent notices of restarts, hangs, and when i tried to install a new tiger OS X or just leave the cd there, there's a Darwin Kernel error saying

Panic: we're hanging here on the last line

What is wrong with this machine?

it's hard, i paid huge amounts of money. Please enlighten me on this, it may be software issue, good. Hope it's not a hardware problem as I may go nuts on it.

kriskent, Unless you really know what you are doing, use the OS that shipped with your computer. You cannot install the retail version of MacOS X on a brand new Mac. The minimum version required for your new computer is higher than your retail version. If you altered your OS, then I recommend that you use your System Restore to return your computer to its out-of-box state. Then enter your personal settings. Learn your computer in its shipped in its default state before mucking with it.

Misterme, how do i restore if the supplied CDs are the install discs of 1 and 2 only? i used it and continue to get the restart and hanging incidents

That's what you get - 2 disks. One is a DVD.
Boot to the disk that has Apple Hardware Test listed on the label of the disk.
Follow the instructions on the label, to boot to that Hardware Test.
Run the extended test.

2GB memory? Did you add the memory, or did you order the system with more (and Apple installed it). If you added the memory, try removing the additional memory to see if that helps with the kernel panics you are having.
