problem with my samsung scx 4300

Hi,
I bought a samsung scx 4300 copier is fine. printer seems to be too but although my mac book is recognizing the printer it is not printing. Can someone help me with this pls.
 
hi, my mac is Mac OC X Version 10.5.8. About the 2nd question i do not have any drivers installed though the mac computer is recognising the samsung printer
 
Looks like you need to install the drivers for the SCX-4300.
10.5 does not include drivers for that model.
Your system may see the hardware as the correct device, but without the drivers installed, you get no printing. Here's a Samsung support page with all the software that you need for your Mac. Seems that printer now has included software with 10.6, just in case you are interested.

thanks for your help. it worked. i can print. i downloaded the scanner driver too. But I do not how to print from my samsung printer. can someone help me with this pls?

You can print - but you don't know how to print?
Get something to print.
Choose Print from the File menu, or whatever alternate shortcut that you normally use for printing, which should bring up a print window.
Select your Samsung printer in the print window, if it is not the default printer.
You select the printer from the Printer drop-down. If your Samsung printer is not in that list, then add it by choosing Add Printer... from the printer list.
Follow the instructions to add the printer.
Click Print.
Does that work?
 
Hi!

I have similar problem with my samsung scx-4300
I can print, but I can't scan. My Mac shows me a message like 'Error has occurred when scanning...'
I have installed scanner driver from the official samsung website.

My MacOS is 10.6.6

Please help
