Problems Dragging Icons

I am not able to click and drag icons or songs in Itunes. I can't even burn cds anymore because I cannot drag songs to a playlist. Could you please tell me what I need to do to correct this problem?
 
What version of Mac OS X are you using? What version of iTunes are you using? What changes, if any, have been made to the computer before you started noticing this problem? Did you recently do any software updates?
