Problems with Airport after Leopard

I am having problems with Airport after I upgraded to Leopard. Basically the internet will stop working. However, airport still has bars. When I go through diagnostics in network preferences, it eventually fixes itself. However, I will get the freezes several times and it's annoying to have to keep fixing it. What can I do?

I have a MacBook 2.1 Ghz Intel Core 2

Knowing more details such as specifics of your network configuration would help in your receiving aid. Otherwise I would suggest connecting to another wireless network away from your home would help in determining if it is a machine specific or network issue.

To reset your wireless you have to follow the steps on the page Tutorial: Fixing Wireless connectivity (including AirPort) problems: Dropouts, slow speed, more.

Plus try just going to System Preferences->Network. At the top of the Network pane will be a drop down the probably says "Automatic". Use that drop down to create a new custom Location (calling it whatever you want). Then after creating that custom Location look at the bottom of the pane click the "apply" button. Then rejoin your wireless to see if that works.

Good Luck.
