Problems with internet

Hello, it's been probably an year since I've been facing issues with my browsers (all of them) on my MacBook pro. Specific websites, specially Facebook, Tumblr and Google, act strangely, often giving me security issues notifications and/or 404 errors, SSL errors, or showing up with the formatting all strange.

This is, normally, solved by cleaning the cache or the cookies, or by rebooting. When not, I just wait a couple of minutes (10+) and it's good.

Here are some screeshots of the issue:

When accessing facebook:

When accessing Google:

Other than those, I had Facebook being redirected to Google.com - wtf

It's not like this is a huge issue I've been surviving it since then. It's just a nuisance and it can happen during an important conversation or something while I'm on Facebook. I just ran tired of it and wanted to find a way to solve it.

I can access the websites normally through my Phone and an HP Netbook with Windows on it.

So yeah, that's it, thanks to anyone that read and/or help me out.

I suspect that your Internet Service Provider has installed filters that block certain sites and possibly certain website activities. If you can, then try getting onto the Web via another provider to see if the problem persists.

It randomly happens anywhere I'm connected, no matter where. But it doesn't happen with my phone or netbook using my provider.

Ok, I'll try that. But what exactly will I be doing? Not what "I will be doing", but what will I be changing by replacing the DNS. I know little (nothing) of computers deeply, I'm a simple music producer with a MacBook. :p

I do not have an answer for you, but I suggest you provide the following:

1. OS you have
2. Version of Firefox and any other browser.
3. If you have/what you have as a Firewall.
4. Your Bank Account number and password [Stop that!--Ed.] Right . . . sorry. . . .
5. Where--country--you are located.
6. Your ISP--company. You say this happens with other providers.

This information may help Gurus help you with the specific problem you have. :)

I would recommend you make sure you clone your drive. In other words, make a bootable backup of "you" to another hard drive. Solutions you may try may cause problems. Much better/easier to try them on your clone rather than "you."

What is different for the network settings for this Mac and the gadgets where the problem doesn't occur?
Is there anything on your DNS (in System Preferences, search)? What's for the DNS on those others?

Doctor X,
- Mac OS 10.6.8
- I use Chrome, mostly, but when the problem happens, it goes on with all browsers, I have the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Opera.
- Default Mac Firewall, I suppose.
- 863... :D
- Brazil.
- Brazilian company, Net Virtua.

Giaguara,
It's a shame but I don't know about the others, the Netbook is just a cheap alternative that I could save from being trashed, I just use it for occasional Windows-only apps, and my cellphone is my cellphone.
About the DNS here, on the DNS servers, I have the default 192.168.1.1 and two others from OpenDNS.

- Default Mac Firewall, I suppose.

To confirm that, goeth thou to System Preferences --> Security --> Firewall tab to see if it is on.

Now, I have not heard of a problem with the Mac Native Firewall but then I have a different Firewall and Little Snitch which I had to "allow" my browsers outgoing access. I do not think the Mac Native Firewall requires any of that, but a Guru can help you if it does.

- Brazilian company, Net Virtua.

Can you confirm whether or not you get the same problem when you use a different internet service provide? Say at the local cafe/porn palace WiFi? That will help rule out if it is a problem with your internet service provider. Do not get me started on the ways Comcast in the US can [CENSORED--Ed.] up your internet!

Firewall is on.
Yes, it happens anywhere I am, college internet, local shopping mall internet, shitty 3G internet. Anywhere. lol

Hopefully someone will be able to help me out >_<
I'm not helping much myself, I know. lol
By the way, additional info: When it happens on Chrome, the page name goes "SSL Error"

Hello dude. I know how difficult it is to work or to study when your browser always shows you web errors. I can't work in such an atmosphere and I usually order an essay or any other writing work on assignmentgeek. Sometimes it is better to pay more money and save your mental system from the breakdowns.
You DO realize, don't you, that you're replying to an 8 year old post?
