Product announcement time?

Who here knows what exact time Apple product updates/announcements appear on the website? Is it constant or does it vary? I suppose if some sort of talk or speech is being given, it would appear while it is being unveiled there...

Normally 8 AM PST? 12 Noon PST?
 
Usually the entire Apple store goes down during a keynote presentation if products are being updated, and then is brought back up with the changes shortly after the keynote ends.

As for things like updated PowerMac G5s that are released without an announcement, well, then Apple updates the web whenever they feel like it -- there's no set time that they take the store down and then put it back up.
 
Has there ever been an update to the Apple store past... say 11am PST? Just some point in the day you can look at the site, and know definitively that nothing has been changed.
