Pub & Sub—OS/X Style

Hello all,

For those who remember the OS 7 days, you may recall the ‘Publish & Subscribe’ feature. How does the OS/X implementation of this operate?

There really isn't a Mac OS X implementation of it, although there was some level of support for it in NeXTSTEP (Mac OS X's "parent," so-to-speak).

What, precisely, are you trying to achieve with it? Are you writing some software that you'd like to include support for pub/sub in?

Nothing major but, my mind was just perusing that feature and though that it would be a nice feature at those times when I'd like to link portions of my Excel, Word and ConceptDraw MindMap together.
