Question about upgrading PhotoShop

I had a question about upgrading PhotoShop on a PPC-based Mac-mini running Tiger. Apparently, it has a trial version of PhotoShop 7 installed and the trial period has expired. I was planning on getting a PhotoShop CS3 upgrade (to save a few bucks) and install that on the machine.

Do you think the upgrade would work since the installed version of PhotoShop is an expired trial?

No it will not work. You cannot get PS at the upgrade price if you have not purchased an actual version of PS in the past.
