Raid 0 in Disk Utility - Can't drag HD's

I'm using Disk Utility and have 2 36gb Raptor hard drives that I want to use in Raid 0 with OS X. I'm using Disk Utility on the OS X DVD. They've been partitioned to a single partition each, and the files system is correct. But when I try to drag it, there is nothing at the end of the mouse. Both drives have been verified and appear fine. Any ideas? I tried on another machine and it seemed to drag OK with a single drive but I didn't have a second drive that hooks up to that machine to test it further.
 
Are you dragging the volume in the left-hand sidebar, or the actual device? I believe to add disks to a RAID set, you need to grab the device in the left-hand sidebar (the left-most non-indented listing there).
 
Yes - no matter what I grab its not dragging when I'm doing it off the DVD yet when I'm doing it with Disk Utility in the OS its dragging OK. Should I be able to create a raid set with 2 or more empty hard drives and the install DVD?
