re Mac email address book

amnesia

I am a Windows user and trying to help an elderly widow set up her Mac which has been packed away for 12 months since her husband passed away.
Can't work out how to edit email address book - delete old entries etc. and how to select multiple address to send out a 'bulk' email.
Would appreciate any assistance.

1- To edit highlight contact then click on edit button at bottom of window. Then just click on the entry you want to change.

2-To delete entry just highlight and hit the keyboard delete key.

3- Multiple recipients for mail is easy In mail select new message. In the mail tool bar hit the address button. Click on your first recipient then command click to select others. Then clicl on To: in the toolbar.

These are my ways.

#3 is assuming there is a "Address Button" in the Toolbar.
This would depend on how the Mail app toolbar had been customized.

Sorry to trouble you again. One thing I forgot to ask. The lady's address book is just a bunch of email addresses. How can I change this so that contacts names are showing, instead of email addresses which is hopeless trying to find the contact she wants to email.
Again - my thanks

you'll have to edit each entry (enter edit mode as per previous message),
then you'll have to input the names for each email address in the first 2 fields.
There is no easier way to do it I'm sorry.

Also when in the Mail application look at the menu item 'Window' and in the drop-down select "Previous Receipts". You can delete the previous receipts one by one (or all at once) of the addresses you don't want (like spammers and such).
