Google search results in many PC programs to record streaming audio. Are there any programs for Panther-OS X that do this? Thanks.

And if you don't want to buy this maybe StreamRipper or Wiretap. Just try a search at versiontracker.com for stream.
But AudioHijack is the best for this because it can directly hijack every programms output. You don't have to worry if an other apps audio output "destroys" your sound recording becuase it just hijacks and record the specified app. And you can set timers or DSP effects to make it even sound better
Great! I got it. Now how do I edit a recording? Say I record a radio stream from live365.com. But I don't stop it in time and there is a piece of audio from the next selection that I want to clip off.
thanks.

I will assume your recorded mp3 file, will reside in iTunes. Play the file, and move where you would like to edit (cut) the ending stuff you don't want, and jot down the exact timeline. Now go to the song file icon and Right click the file -> get info -> Options -> In the "Stop Time" enter the time you jotted down. press OK. Go to the file and Play. If it is not exactly where you wanted it to end, do this procedure again until you nail it. When you are satisfied, select the file and go to the 'Advanced" menu, and choose "Create MP3 Version" this will make a duplicate of your file. Now choose the original file and Delete it. Have fun!Great! I got it. Now how do I edit a recording? Say I record a radio stream from live365.com.
