Anybody know how to remove Apache that I found at /usr/sbin/httpd? Or, at least prevent /usr/sbin/httpd from starting at boot?

Thanks

It is not selected and so, I can not unselect it. :-(

Well, then it's not running, right?
Wrong. When I go to http://localhost/, I get the standard message when one installs Apache:

The Apache Software Foundation, which wrote the web server software this site administrator is using, has nothing to do with maintaining this site and cannot help resolve configuration issues.
So, I am now thinking there is something wrong with my control panel?

Well: Could you please post here if you find out what was wrong and what the solution was? I don't want the thread to become an orphan...

Sure...

He is assuming that something went wrong when I went from Panther to Tiger. He removed all instances of apache and then installed the latest stable version. Everything works great now. :)
