Remove Apache

Anybody know how to remove Apache that I found at /usr/sbin/httpd? Or, at least prevent /usr/sbin/httpd from starting at boot?

Thanks

turn off the "Personal Web Sharing" option under Sharing in System Preferences.

Well, then it's not running, right?

Wrong. When I go to http://localhost/, I get the standard message when one installs Apache:

Seeing this instead of the website you expected?

This page is here because the site administrator has changed the configuration of this web server. Please contact the person responsible for maintaining this server with questions. The Apache Software Foundation, which wrote the web server software this site administrator is using, has nothing to do with maintaining this site and cannot help resolve configuration issues.

So, I am now thinking there is something wrong with my control panel?

Well: Could you please post here if you find out what was wrong and what the solution was? I don't want the thread to become an orphan...

Sure...

He is assuming that something went wrong when I went from Panther to Tiger. He removed all instances of apache and then installed the latest stable version. Everything works great now. :)
