retrieving photos from trash

I inadvertently moved photos from iphoto to trash. I want to move them back to iphotos. I have not emptied the trash so they are still in trash. How can i retrieve these images?

Did you look in iPhoto's trash, which is separate from Finder's trash?

which trash can did you put them in? iphoto's or the apple trash can on your desk top ? You should be able to just click and drag them back to the folder they were in.

I have found them in trash and can move them but only one at a time and there are hundreds. I can't get them to move in groups. They are in my regular trash not the iphoto trash. I have been moving them to a folder and then to iphoto as they can't be moved directly

You can move more than one picture from the trash to a folder on your desktop. Simply change the Trash's window view to list view, click on the first photo in the trash, scroll to the last photo, hold down the 'shift' key, and click the last photo. Every photo between the first and the last should be highlighted -- now simply drag all those photos as a group to the folder on your desktop.

If the photos go to the same place in iPhoto, or even if they don't, you can drag the entire folder there.
