I don't think Best Buy wants to go there again. They didn't make much money from macs and supporting macs was a pain in the arse for their minimum wage techs.
Apple has their retail stores now and selling Macs at Sears and Circuit City flopped.
I wish things were different though. It seems people don't want to buy big ticket items from those places unless they are tvs or home entertainment theaters. The hey day of computer selling in retail has vanished.
Sony, HP and Compaq are the only ones left in the retail chain of any significance and their offerings at places like CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City etc have slowly been narrowed down to maybe an aisle or two in dekstops and about an aisle in laptops.
People who buy PCs now would much rather go to Dell directly or get a Wal-Mart PC for $199-$599
If you are right though and Apple does begin selling macs there, it may not be good in the long run as best buy doesn't maintain their demo machines. They are horrible about making sure they are left running in good condition... plus i've never heard of a retail chain WANTING to sell macs, it has always been the other way around. Except for maybe Microcenter or those weird West Coast computer chains.
Note: My Best Buy remark about demo machines does not reflect my preference to Best Buy over other place. I have spent many a paycheck there on small to big ticket items
