Safari 3.11 says no

I just upgraded to 10.5. Immediately upon launch it did the software update and I'm now running 10.5.3. Trouble is, I downloaded Safari from Apple's website but it won't install... says the OS must be at least 10.5.2. I must be missing something here.

Safari is included with your original OS X install and is already in your /Applications folder. You don't need to download Safari from Apple's site.

If you're missing Safari, it must have somehow been deleted or moved... use Pacifist to extract it from your original Leopard install disks.
 
Be aware that WebKit, more often than not, is experimental and bleeding-edge "alpha" quality software. You will find quirks, incompatibilities, inconsistencies and things that just don't even work a lot of the time.

I will say, however, that the newest WebKit JavaScript engine rocks the house... ;)
