Safari and Firewall protocols

Hi,

They just changed the firewall settings at work again, and I can no longer access https sites with Safari. I discovered that by setting firewall to use Tunnel protocol and not SOCKS I can use IE to log into .Mac etc, but i would so like to get Safari back on track with this.

I can't find anywhere that lets me specify the firewall protocol. Does anyone else out there know how I can do this in Safari?

Thanks.
A.

Safari uses the general system prefs for most purposes. Go to the Network pref pan, and the Proxies tab should let you set what you need.

Hi,

Thanks.

I had already tried that. There are two areas to set proxy and secure proxy settings, and one for SOCKS but nothing that I could find that sets the protocol if it's not SOCKS.

Unless it's hidden somewhere.

A.
